Doubling Your Impact: Bringing Baroque Music to Life in Roanoke!

Thank you to so many of our ardent supporters for helping us bring the beauty of live Baroque music to immersive settings here in Roanoke!

Our $11,000 matching grant fundraiser has gone over the top! We are thrilled to announce that with the generous support of over 50 supporters we have maximized the matching grant opportunity and exceeded our goal by raising $11,026 for a host of authentic period instruments to enhance our capacity to present the elegant sounds of the 18th century to our Roanoke audiences. Are we stopping now? Of course not! Donations for the general operating support of Roanoque Baroque and our continued acquisition of unique and rare period instruments are always welcome. 

We hope you can join us for our final concerts of the year on June 7 & 8  at Oakey’s downtown chapel to delight in the choral artistry of the Roanoque Baroque Chamber Choir as they perform with the Roanoque Baroque Chamber Orchestra and celebrate the successful completion of our fund-drive and season. Your further donations will help secure many more exciting baroque performances.

Your support will make a tangible difference:

  • 20% ($4,400) Brings an exciting “new” instrument to our ensemble in the form of an amazing baroque Archlute or Theorbo

  • 15% ($3,300) Completes our period authentic string section of instruments with the addition of a baroque string bass

  • 35% ($7,700) Invests in a pair of Baroque trumpets, enhancing our masterpiece holiday performances.

  • 30% ($6,600) Adds resonance to the ensemble with an additional baroque cello
